Presbyterian (PC-USA) Partners

Second Presbyterian Church partners with several organizations related to the PC-USA.  We support these partners with annual gifts from the Mission and Advocacy budget and we maintain relationships through programming, presentations, and communications.

All Nations Presbyterian Fellowship

All Nations has been a New Worshiping Community of the Presbyterian Church (USA) since 2015.  Fellowship members represent African nations as well as the Caribbean, Central America, and the United States. They partner with the congregation of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Richmond to share facility space, worshiping together on the first Sunday of each month.

Camp Hanover

Camp Hanover is an outdoor ministry of the Presbytery of the James. An outstanding summer camp program is provided where youth in elementary, middle and high school experience an atmosphere of caring and acceptance at every turn, learning to live, work, play, laugh and worship together in Christian community. Many of our children and youth attend Camp Hanover each year. We also support Camp Hanover with an annual gift for camp scholarships.

HumanKind

HumanKind, formerly Presbyterian Homes & Family Services, has strengthened families and communities in many different capacities since 1903, changing our services to meet the needs of the communities we serve across Virginia.

Massanetta Springs

Montreat Conference Center

Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Montreat is a private, non-profit conference center with roots in the PC-USA. For over 100 years, we have been a place set apart for those who journey here seeking a closer relationship with their Creator.  Many members of our church, including youth, visit Montreat each summer.

POJ Hunger Fund

The Hunger Ministry of Presbytery of the James encourages congregations to give five cents for each meal you enjoy to relieve hunger locally and globally. Gifts from the Hunger Fund are donated to church emergency food centers, school backpack programs and county food pantries.  The Fund supports our “Lunch on Mondays” Walk-In program.

UKIRK VCU Ministry

UKirk stands for University Church and it is a national network of campus ministries of the Presbyterian Church-USA. UKirk@VCU is a downtown Richmond, Virginia is a branch of this emerging ministry. Kelley Connelly is the current UKirk@VCU pastor and she also serves as the Urban Engagement Coordinator at the church.

Union Presbyterian Seminary

Union Presbyterian Seminary is a Presbyterian seminary in Richmond, Virginia. It also has a non-residential campus in Charlotte, North Carolina and an online blended learning program.  UPS students serve as interns and youth leaders at Second Presbyterian.

Westminster-Canterbury
