Room for Christmas Musical

On Christmas Eve, our lovely children and youth offered a musical performance of Room for Christmas by Mark Burrows. The premise of the play was a group of children preparing for and performing a traditional Christmas pageant while interrogating the commercial aspects of the Christmas season through humor. In the end, the children decide to perform the pageant and include a toy drive for children in need.

What a wonderful moment when the children invited the congregation forward to place the donated toys around the manger on the chancel. The donations will go to Blessing Warriors and Celebrate RVA. These organizations will be able to get the toys out to children in need.

The presentation was lovely with solos by Grant and Craig; a dramatic reading by Henry and Liam; and fabulous performances by the cast Zoe, Ada, Brewer, Andy, Craig, Alli, Addie, Tristan, Aria, Ava, Grayson, and Devon!
