Montreat Worship and Music Conference!

What a wonderful week! This summer, members of our choir attended the amazing conference on Worship and Music at Montreat, NC. This conference is put on each year by the Presbyterian Association of Musicians and offers a stellar line up of leadership along with a consistent and loving community. 2nd Pres showed up in force with 20 members arriving in Montreat on Sunday!

Some attended handbells, and some joined the choir. Others attended lectures on hymnology and organ. Still others were inspired by the sessions on the crafts of liturgy, preaching, and art in worship. All found respite, inspiration, and renewal along the mountain trails, serene lake, and rushing streams.

Many thanks to Joe and Terry for heading up the dinner making each night. The food was amazing and so was the fellowship!

2nd is looking forward to a return trip next summer. Hopefully, you’ll join us!
