Small and Subversive

Rev. Betsey Moe and her husband, Eric Moe, are PC(USA) mission co-workers in Guatemala. Betsey works with a ministry called CEDEPCA. This important ministry through theological education is helping girls in Guatemala lift their voices and have a say in the length of their education. An incredible aspect of their ministry is the Tamar and Jose project that trains both boys and girls to push back on patriarchy, dignifying the lives of women and girls in their communities and households. Betsey and Eric visited our church this past weekend. Shared meals with parishioners and contributed their gifts in our worship service. We are blessed to have heard Betsey’s powerful sermon and grateful for the lively contributions of Eric’s trumpet. Both Betsey and Eric shared accounts of their mission work over the last three years in a lecture after worship on Sunday! Click here to view their lecture!
