On August 25, Second joined with churches and other community partners across the country in ringing our bell for four minutes at 3:00 p.m. Each minute represented the four centuries that have passed since the first people from Africa were horribly taken from their homes and brought to Virginia to become slaves for the colonists. May we continue to work toward a world where things like racism, hatred, and violence are no more.
